ModMoon couldn't find any mod slots for the game you just selected.

Warning: Failed to find mods for this game! Some of these answers are copy/paste from the GBATemp Thread. Troubleshoots/Errors:ModMoon, like any other Mod Manager, isn't perfect.
Open Smash 3DS and wait for it to load (some modpacks like UsM-eM, Neos, and Turbo'd will load too slow. If the zip/rar file starts with a bunch of folders, drag everything to Slot_1 folder. If the zip/rar file starts with saltysd, open smash folder and drag everything to Slot_1 folder. If the zip/rar file starts with smash folder, drag everything to Slot_1 folder. You get the point now? But to simplified more: Drag and Drop everything except for Screenshots to 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1. I'll use Miguel92398's Modpack 2 as an example: 
Create each chr in 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui\replace\chrģds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui\replace\chr\chr_00ģds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui\replace\chr\chr_20ģds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui\replace\chr\stock_00ģds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui\replace\chr\stock_90.
Create chr folder in 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui\replace. Drag and drop c05 and h05 to 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\model\fighter\mario\body. Create a folder called body in 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\model\fighter\mario. Create a folder called mario in 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\model\fighter. I'll use Smash 64 Mario mod as an example: If you want only Ken, no alts, just take only 01 and rename them to any of the slots.įrom 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui\replace\append\chr\chr_00\ chr_00_Ryu_01.tex, this mod will go over Ryu's 8th costume, 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui\replace\append\chr\chr_00\chr_00_Ryu_08.tex. Then you have to rename each X1, X2, etc to 01, 02. Drag and drop everything in the ui folder to 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui\replace\append\chr. Create chr folder in 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui\replace\append. Create append folder in 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui\replace. Create replace folder in 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\ui. 
For UI, create ui folder in 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1. If you want only Ken, no alts, just take only c00/h00 and rename them to any of the slots.įrom 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\model\fighter\ryu\body\c00, this mod will go over Ryu's 8th costume, 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1\model\fighter\ryu\body\c07. Create a folder called model in 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1. Drag and drop both model and ui to 3ds\ModMoon\\Slot_1. Open saltysd, smash folder (from the ZIP). Installing Mods:I'll use this Goku mod as an example: Drag and drop your code.ips and rename it to the prefered version. Create codes folder on 3ds/ModMoon// (Example: 3ds\ModMoon\00040000000EDF00\Slot_1\codes). Get what code.ips based of your game's region (If your game is US, digital, go to US and digital folder). Create smash folder on saltysd ( SD Card:\\saltysd\smash). Select Smash 3DS in ModMoon and Launch. Go to Luma Configuration (part of the installing CFW process) and enable Game Patching. I will also have to use ModMoon because people are too dense and stubborn to install mods without one.

This is straight to the point and I will also list some mods on how to install it, even though there are instructions in the README.txt. There's no "too detail" stuff in this tutorial. Here's a simplified and shorter version of the tutorial. Even video tutorials are a headache as well. So it seems that my tutorial is a head scratcher to newcomers because they don't understand a single thing.
